Descrizione
It is the church of the Ripa di Cassano. Dedicated to the Madonna delle Grazie, however, the church is known by the name of the Madonna di Rosella, in reference to a legend that tells of a Carottese woman, a certain Rosa Maresca, known as Rosella, who implored the Madonna to heal her son through an icon of the Virgin. When her son recovered, she had that painting restored which has since become a source of veneration for the Carottese people. The church was inaugurated in 1798. The Madonna di Rosella, painted in oil on canvas, was crowned with a ceremony on June 10, 1888.
